Reinforced plasterboard bulkhead for anchoring the partition wall

ClientUniversityYear2023Share

Intervention dedicated to the creation of a tructurally reinforced plasterboard bulkhead designed to provide a secure anchoring point for a glass partition wall.

The work required an enhanced internal framework engineered to ensure mechanical strength, stability, and long‑term reliability, even in the presence of concentrated loads and stresses generated by daily use.

Structure and reinforcements

Inside the bulkhead, a reinforcement system was created using oversized metal profiles and dedicated stiffeners, fully integrated into the false ceiling structure. This ensures:

  • correct load distribution
  • no flexing or deformation over time
  • a stable anchoring point for the glass‑mounting systems

Each component was dimensioned to safely support the weight and stresses of the glass partition, maintaining precision in levels, measurements, and alignments.

Precision and finish

Beyond the structural component, the intervention was completed with clean, linear finishes that align seamlessly with the existing surfaces, combining technical solidity with aesthetic quality.

The result is a concealed yet essential structure, designed to offer maximum strength, and long‑term durability, without compromising the final appearance of the space.

The final result is a solution designed to ensure maximum long‑term structural resistance, capable of withstanding loads and stresses without deformation or loss of stability. The presence of internal reinforcements and the correct sizing of the structure make the bulkhead a reliable and secure element, essential for guaranteeing solidity to the entire glass wall and consistent performance even under intensive use of the space.
